Lakeland Issues Bonds For Facility Improvements

(LAGRANGE) – Lakeland School Corporation is moving forward with issuing two bonds to fund major projects across the District.

The Bonds will allow the District to address critical infrastructure needs, enhance safety and accessibility and ensure that Lakeland students and staff will have facilities designed to support learning well into the future.

Bond One will be used for improvements at Lakeland Jr/Sr High School: A new cafeteria; An office addition and secure entrance and Auditorium renovations.

Bond Two will cover District wide facility enhancements at Lakeland Primary School, Wolcott Mills and the construction of a new maintenance facility.

Levitz says the first two projects will be putting in new playground equipment at Wolcott Mills and Lakeland Primary School, and the new maintenance facility.

Lakeland has two years to use the bond funds.
