The Allen County Sheriff’s Department are reporting one person dead, and three others injured following an early Monday evening crash where authorities responded to the scene at 8503 U.S. 33, west of the intersection of O Day Road around 6:15 p.m.
Investigators at the scene reported that the crash involved two vehicles with two people inside each vehicle. One of them died in the crash and the other three were taken to area hospitals, though it is not clear how severe their injuries are.
The section of U.S. 33 between Valentine Road and Carroll Road was closed for several hours while authorities investigated.
The crash remains under investigation.
