(BUTLER TOWNSHIP) - A three vehicle crash injured a teenage girl.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, 17 year old Paige Montgomery of Leo was driving a pickup south on State Road 3 just after 6:30 PM Monday. As she approached County Road 68, Montgomery went into the eastbound turning lane. A northbound pickup on State Road 3 driven by 31 year old Joseph Lortie of Avilla wasn't able to stop and struck Montgomery's vehicle on the passenger's side and pushed it into a third truck, driven by 72 year old Verlin Houck of Nappanee.
Montgomery had visible injuries and was bleeding. She was transported to a local hospital to be treated.
Assisting at the scene were the LaOtto Fire Department, the Indiana State Police and Parkview EMS.
