Two Online Indiana Schools Fleeced State
Friday, February 14, 2020

The Indiana State Board of Accounts now says two online schools stole around $85-million.

They did so by counting more than 14-thousand students as enrolled
when they were not.

The Indianapolis Star reports Indiana Virtual School and Indiana Virtual
Pathways Academy were closed last year.

Now the state is trying to get back the dollars which were funneled through the schools into companies owned by their administrators and family members.

The U-S Attorneys Office and the FBI are believed to be investigating the
case.
