(LAGRANGE) – The host Lakeland football team scored on two big pass plays and saw their defense play tough in the fourth quarter to beat Churubusco 14-12 and get their first win of the season and first year head coach Tom Wogomon. The Lakers got their first touchdown on a 59 yard pass play from Brayden Holbrook to Keyan Arroyo, and then the two hooked up again on an 85 yard touchdown that gave Lakeland the lead for good. LINKC. Lakeland is now 1-1 on the season as are the Eagles.
