(ANGOLA) – Steuben County Prosecutor Travis Musser has announced he is seeking another office.
With the recent news that Judge William Fee is not seeking re-election, Musser issued a media release, saying he is seeking the Republican nomination for Steuben County Superior Court Judge.
After being admitted to the Indiana bar, Musser, a lifelong resident and sixth-generation native of Steuben County, established a private law practice in Angola focusing both criminal and civil law. In 2011 he joined the Steuben County Prosecutor’s Office where he served as Deputy Prosecutor, Chief Deputy Prosecutor and currently as Prosecuting Attorney.
Musser says throughout his career, he has handled thousands of cases and tried numerous jury trials, including some of the most serious and complex matters. He says these experiences have sharpened his legal skills and strengthened his commitment to justice and public service.
Musser says this work is not just a profession, but a calling driven by his deep dedication to both justice and the community that has shaped who he is.
As he runs for judge, Musser says he’s committed to addressing addictions and mental health issues while holding violent offenders accountable. He says that treatment, not just punishment, is key to breaking the cycle of addiction.
Musser says as Judge, he will bring years of valuable courtroom experience, steady judgment and a deep respect for the law to every case before him.
