(INDIANAPOLIS) – Unemployment rates dropped around Northeast Indiana counties from July to August.
Information released by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development shows that LaGrange County had a drop in unemployment from 4.5% to 3.6%.
The largest decrease in the area was Noble County, which went from 5.7% to 4.5%.
DeKalb County had a drop in unemployment from 4.7% to 3.9% from July to August. Elkhart County went from 5.4% to 4.7% and Steuben County had a
decrease from 4.3% to 3.6%.
Cities in Northeast Indiana also had drops in their unemployment. Fort Wayne had the largest decrease from 6.2% to 4.3%. Goshen went down from 5.6% to 4.7% and Elkhart dropped from 6.5% to an even 6%.
