(STURGIS) – A two vehicle crash claimed the life of a Sturgis man and injured four others.
The Sturgis Department of Public Safety says they were dispatched at 9:41 AM Saturday to an injury accident at the intersection of South Nottawa Road and Bogen Road.
Officers determined that a passenger car was heading east on Bogen Road and pulled into the path of a southbound pick up, and the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the car, an 18 year old Sturgis man, was killed in the crash.
The pick up was occupied by four Howe, Indiana residents. The truck rolled over, and all four occupants were taken to local hospitals to be treated for non life threatening injuries.
Assisting as the scene were the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office, the Tri Township Fire Department and Life Care Ambulance.
The accident remains under investigation.
