FORT WAYNE - The Indiana State Police are partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for their 26th “Prescription Drug Take Back” initiative.

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, collection sites will be set up nationwide for expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs which will be properly disposed of without threat to the environment.

The “Take Back” initiative seeks to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft through proper disposal of unwanted prescription drugs.

This program is for pill and liquid medications. Vaping pens without batteries and vaping cartridges will also be taken.

Needles or sharps of any kind WILL NOT be accepted for disposal.  This service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.
