ELKHART COUNTY – A man had to have one of his arms amputated after a crash early Thursday morning.
The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says at 4:45 AM, a car driven by a 28 year old man was driving east on County Road 42 and failed to stop at the intersection of County Road 17.
The car struck the driver’s side of an SUV that was heading north on County Road 17. The SUV went off the road and rolled over.
The driver of the SUV was removed by first responders and taken to an area hospital, where he had to have his right arm amputated. The driver of the car was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
