LAGRANGE COUNTY – A White Pigeon woman was one of two people injured in a head on crash.
According to the Cass County Sheriff's Department, 38 year old Melissa Tripp of Dowagiac was driving south on M-62 near Kingsbury Road in LaGrange Township at 10:25 PM Wednesday, when she was struck by a northbound automobile that crossed the center line. The north bound vehicle was driven by 72 year old Carol Slusher of White Pigeon.
Slusher was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital to receive treatment for her injuries. Tripp was taken by ambulance to South Bend Memorial. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, which remains under investigation.
Assisting deputies at the scene were the Cassopolis Police and Fire Departments, along with the SMCAS Ambulance and Edwardsburg Ambulance companies.
