The YMCA of Steuben County will begin offering community CPR classes.

With the help of a grant from the Steuben County Community Foundation, the YMCA is now offering CPR/First Aid/AED courses through the American Heart Association’s HeartSaver certification program.

Since the onset of the pandemic the YMCA has had difficulty finding CPR training for its staff and has been receiving calls daily from community members and organizations asking if CPR training was offered.

The YMCA is partnering with Emilee Beer, a Certified American Heart Association HeartSaver Trainer and Cardiac Nurse. The first class will be held Saturday, May 15th from 8am-12pm. Cost for the class is $50 and financial scholarships are available to those who qualify.
