SILVER CREEK TOWNSHIP – A truck v tree crash injured two Dowagiac men.
According to the Cass County Sheriff's Department, 60 year old Timothy McDaniel was driving east on Middle Crossing Road, east of California Road in Silver Creek Township, just after 5 PM Thursday. McDaniel's vehicle went off the road and struck a large tree.
McDaniel was taken to Lakeland St. Joseph Hospital for treatment of his injuries. His passenger, 50 year old Albert Hurrle Jr. of Dowagiac, was not seriously injured. Both men were wearing their safety belts, and alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
Assisting deputies at the scene were the Indian Lake Fire Department, the Dowagiac Police Department and Pride Care Ambulance.
