ALBION - A six-month-long investigation into an alleged sexual assault at a campground wrapped up this with an arrest of a Noble County man.

The Indiana State Police arrested 25-year-old Mathew J. Clark of Avilla on a rape charge.

Troopers said they opened an investigation back in October 2020 when they learned Clark was accused of raping an 18-year-old girl at a Whitley County camping area in June.

Troopers turned over their findings to the Whitley County Prosecutor's Office.

After an arrest warrant was issued, authorities were able to find Clark living at a home in Mishawaka. He was arrested without incident.
