(HILLSDALE) – A Hillsdale County man has been given a sentence of 133 days in jail for posting threating messages on the Hillsdale Police Department Facebook page.
Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel says last Friday 30 year old Paul Hawkins, who is currently incarcerated at the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, was sentenced in Hillsdale County Circuit Court. He was found guilty in January 2025 on one count of Malicious Use of a Telecommunications Service and one count of Using a Computer to Commit a Crime.
While on parole in May of 2024, Hawkins posted messages that threatened the life and property of former Hillsdale County Prosecutor Neal Brady, who was the elected Prosecutor at the time of Hawkins’ previous criminal convictions.
