(WARSAW) - Fans of the long-running Penguin Point restaurant chain will soon have a final chance to own a piece of its legacy.

An upcoming online auction will offer hundreds of items from the former Penguin Point headquarters in Warsaw, including memorabilia and restaurant equipment. Items up for bid range from wallets, menus, and condiment dispensers to deep fryers, ovens, and even the iconic Penguin Point signage.

The last remaining Penguin Point locations across northern Indiana closed in November of 2023, ending a more than 70-year run that began in Wabash with the Stouder family.

The former headquarters building on U.S. 30 is now being repurposed as the future home of Witt Family Hometown Stores, whose president says the auction offers fans a chance to take home a piece of a brand that was deeply connected to the community.

The auction is being handled by Metzger Property Services and is expected to begin around Christmas, running through January 18. All bidding will take place online. You can review Penguin Point Auction items here.

For longtime fans, organizers say the auction is meant to serve as a fitting sendoff to "The People Pleasing Place."
