(ANGOLA) - Big Bad Voodoo Daddy will perform at Trine University's T. Furth Center for Performing Arts on Friday, August 7.
The concert begins at 8 p.m. in Ryan Concert Hall. Doors open one hour before the show.
Tickets range from $35 to $55 and are available through Trine's Furth Center ticket website.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy performs its own interpretations of swing music from the 1940s and 1950s, along with original songs in a similar style.
The band has appeared in concert venues around the world, sold millions of records and had its music featured in hundreds of movies and television shows.
Scotty Morris formed the band in Ventura, California, in 1989, after meeting Texas blues guitarist Albert Collins at one of Collins' concerts. Morris said Collins signed a poster, "To Scotty, the big bad voodoo daddy," which became the band's name.
The group has performed sold-out concerts from the Hollywood Bowl to Lincoln Center, appeared with symphony orchestras and been featured on television programs including "Dancing with the Stars" and Super Bowl XXXIII.
More information on this and other performances at the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts is available through Trine University.
