(INDIANAPOLIS) - Democrats have selected Beau Bayh as their nominee for Indiana Secretary of State.
Bayh announced his nomination following the Indiana Democratic Party convention over the weekend, thanking delegates for their support and pledging a campaign focused on government accountability and integrity.
Bayh also thanked fellow candidate Blythe Potter for her campaign and invited her supporters to join his effort heading into the general election.
In a statement, Bayh said every Hoosier who believes in honest government has a place in the campaign and argued that corruption has no place in Indiana politics.
Bayh will represent the Democratic Party in this fall's race for Indiana Secretary of State.
