(ANGOLA) - The hottest weather of the year so far is expected to arrive this week, with temperatures forecast to reach 90 degrees for the first time this season.
After highs in the 80s to start the week, temperatures are expected to climb into the lower 90s Wednesday and Thursday as heat and humidity build across the region.
There will also be chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms through much of the week.
A cold front is expected to move through late Thursday, bringing some relief from the heat heading into the weekend.
Temperatures are forecast to fall back into the 80s Saturday and into the 70s by Sunday, with cooler conditions expected to continue into next week.
