(MUNCIE) - The Angola High School gymnastics team capped off a historic season Saturday with a third-place finish at the IHSAA State Finals.
The Hornets turned in one of the strongest performances in program history, highlighted by several individual medalists.
Bailey Lanoue led Angola with a state championship on vault. Lanoue also finished runner-up on the uneven bars, placed fifth on floor exercise and finished fourth in the all-around competition.
Madilyn Bussard placed fifth on balance beam.
Teammate Piper Hasselman added another top finish for the Hornets with a sixth-place medal on vault.
With multiple podium finishes and a third-place team result, the Hornets closed the season as the most decorated gymnastics team in Angola High School history.
