(READING) - The 70th annual Tip-Up Festival returns to Reading this weekend, with three days of fishing, food and live entertainment centered at the local American Legion.
Festivities begin Friday with a steak fry from 5 to 7 p.m. at the American Legion.
The Tip-Up fishing contest gets underway at 8 a.m. Saturday. A "feather party" is scheduled for 3 p.m., followed by live music from the Silver Tongued Devils at 8 p.m.
Events wrap up Sunday with an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 8 to 10 a.m. The fishing contest concludes at 2 p.m., followed by a cash raffle and prize drawings to close out the weekend.
The American Legion serves as festival headquarters throughout the event.
