Just after 9:50 A.M. on Saturday Morning, DeKalb County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a two car crash in the 2000 block of State Route 8. 38 year old Brandy Williams of Butler, was heading west bound on State Route 8 where she saw a bunch of smoke in front of her and could not see the vehicle. While driving her 2009 GMC Acadia, she then rear ended a 2010 Dodge Ram truck.
Samuel Beechy, age 19 of Lagrange was traveling west bound as his truck began to have mechanical problems, reporting that his truck would not go out of third gear, and saw black smoke coming out of his truck's exhaust. Beechy then began to slow do and was then rear ended by Williams.
Beechy was unhurt, but Williams was transported to DeKalb Health complaining of chest pain. The crash is still under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office.
