(ELKHART) – A weekend accident at a construction site claimed the life of a LaPorte man.
According to the Elkhart County Coroner’s Office, 31 year old Michael Knotts of Rieth-Riley Construction died Saturday at the Sunnyside Overpass Project in Elkhart. Knotts was directing a pipe in the driver, when for an unknown reason, the driver became disconnected and struck him.
The cause of death is multiple blunt force trauma and it has been ruled accidental.
