ANGOLA, IN - A plea agreement was filed this week in the case where a Northwest Ohio woman was arrested and charged in the hit-and-run of two Steuben County teens.
Sentencing has been set for Hope Richmond of Montpelier, Ohio. Her arrest and charges stem from an October 2922 incident that killed 13-year-old Wayden Bennett and injured 12-year-old Ryly Cumings near Lake James.
The agreement was filed in the Steuben County Courthouse where Richmond has filed a plea agreement on three of her charges.
If the plea deal is accepted, prosecutors say one of the three charges will be served concurrently, or at the same time.
Richmond will forgo a jury trial and will be sentenced on July 17.
