University's Founding Provides Inspiration for 2021 Trine Day
By: James Tew - Tuesday, April 6, 2021

ANGOLA, IN - To support Trine University students, the 2021 Trine Day is hearkening back to the university's beginnings.

This year's Trine Day will last 1,884 minutes, beginning at 7:25 p.m. on April 19 and ending at 11:59 p.m. on April 20. The time reflects the year 1884, when a group of visionary Angola, Indiana, residents founded Tri-State Normal College, the predecessor of today's Trine University.

In addition to looking back to the university's beginning, alumni, in particular, are encouraged to reflect on their own experiences at Tri-State and Trine, and support the schools, campus organizations, athletic teams and other elements that impacted them during their time on campus.
