MONGO, IN - The Mongo United Methodist Food Pantry will be open for distribution Thursday evening (February 18).
Hours of operation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Those coming to pick up food should expect a little modification in regards to paperwork. Organizers say they will need a paper slip filled out to pick-up food, which will be a simple process.
Those in need of food will drive-up to pick up a food box and perishable bag. Those in attendance last month can bring their completed form. If you were not there, NO BIG DEAL, forms will be give out in the drive-up line.
Volunteers will be on hand to supervise and provide assistance if needed. If someone is ill, please stay home and send a proxy in your place to pick up food. Sending a proxy is also a good alternative for seniors who may not want to be out in public.
The food pantry team will continue to practice 6 feet social distancing from others, and take precautions to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Next food distribution will be Thursday, March 4th (2021).
