STEUBEN COUNTY, IN - Officials in Steuben County say the County’s Health Department has been working with community partners to “ensure preparedness for coronavirus or COVID-19 in the county”. According to the most recent report, as Monday night there are not any confirmed COVID-19 cases in Steuben County.
On Monday, Governor Eric Holcomb ordered the closure of all dine-in food establishments, nightclubs and bars for in-person patrons. The measure does allow for delivery and pick up options through the end of March.
Steuben County Officials called out in a news release that all establishments, nightclubs and bars were to be closed by 11:59 PM Monday night (March 16th, 2020). Steuben County Officials are encouraging the public to support area food establishments and bars that offer takeout, curbside pick and/or delivery during this public health emergency.

Steuben County Officials strongly urge residents to follow the measures listed below:
• Staying home when sick and avoid close contact with sick people
• Frequent, proper handwashing using soap and water for at least 20 seconds or an alcohol based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
• Avoiding touching your mouth, nose or eyes with unwashed hands
• Practicing respiratory etiquette for example cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or upper sleeve
• Routinely Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces using usual clean or disinfecting product according to the label.
