Amid concern across the country and even as close as Indianapolis about the spread of Coronavirus, another case has come forward and this time it is in Noble County.
According to an e-mail that was sent out by East Noble School Corporation, reports had come out that a 54 year old gentleman was diagnosed with Coronavirus while at Parkview Noble Hospital. The man whose identity has not been released, does not have any school age children and does not live in Kendallville or the surrounding areas within Noble County.
Officials from East Noble School Cooperation are working with the Noble County Department of Health and have been advised that there is no immediate need to close schools as was done within the Indianapolis area school district of Avon, amid Indiana's third case being found there over the weekend.
The Department of Health does want to remind everyone to diligently follow the below practices to prevent the spread of viruses which include washing hands regularly for 20 seconds using soap and water or hand sanitizers and wipes if regular soap and water are not available. Residents are also advised to cough into your elbow or sleeve, use a tissue when sneezing and immediately throw the tissue in the trash, not to touch your face, eyes, nose, or mouth.
The Department of Health also goes on to say that if you or your child begin to show any type of flu symptoms, stay home, call your doctor, and notify the appropriate school district.
