On Wednesday around 2:21 P.M. on County Road 28 in DeKalb County, 19-year-old Eric M. Hart of Corunna, Indiana was traveling West on County Road 28 in the 1700 block driving his 2003 Ford Ranger pick up truck.
It was there where Hart lost control of the truck while traveling down a hill with ice on it and ran off the roadway. Hart rolled multiple times and came to rest upside down in a cornfield on the south side of the road.
Hart's Passenger, Evello J. Coker age 18 of Auburn transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center for medical treatment for was believed and reported to be a fractured femur. Hart was unhurt in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, with charges pending against the driver.
