At approximately 10:27 P.M. Tuesday Night, in the 4900 block of County Road 23 in DeKalb County a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling north bound. The driver, 19-year-old Skyler Ratty was traveling along when he came up on a 44-year-old man riding a bicycle. Ratty did not see the man on the bike who was also traveling north in the right lane.
Ratty then struck the bike, ridden by Joshua Miliman of Fort Wayne from behind. The collision caused damage to the front grill area of Ratty's car, and back tire damage to Miliman's bike.
Miliman was transported to the hospital due to complaints of lower back pain, where he was later released.
The incident is still under investigation.
Assisting on the scene were Auburn Fire Department, and DeKalb County EMS.
