(ANGOLA) - Cameron Health will host a community blood drive on New Year's Eve to help meet a constant and critical need.
The blood drive takes place Tuesday, Dec. 31, in partnership with the South Bend Medical Foundation. Organizers say donated blood supports emergency care, surgeries, and ongoing treatment for patients who rely on a steady supply.
Health officials note that someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds and say even one donation can save lives.
Eligible donors are encouraged to take part.
