(HUNTINGTON) - A former Huntington University coach convicted of sexual battery is facing a possible probation violation.

Court records show Nicholas Johnson has been ordered to appear in Huntington County court after prosecutors filed a petition alleging he violated terms of his probation.

The filing claims Johnson failed to comply with required conditions, including participation in a sex offender treatment program and completion of a polygraph test.

Johnson was found guilty in September 2024 following a jury trial tied to a July 2020 incident involving a former student-athlete.

In October 2024, he was sentenced to one year in jail followed by one year of probation. He was also ordered to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

Court records show Johnson has a prior felony case in Indiana, after pleading guilty in 2020 to identity deception in a separate case involving a minor.

Johnson is scheduled to appear in court for a probation violation hearing on May 12.
