INDIANAPOLIS – The Trine University men's basketball team will be hosting First and Second Round contests in the NCAA Tournament on Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2. The Thunder received an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament with a 23-4 overall record.
Trine will be hosting three other schools in their pod, including two conference champions. The Thunder will play the Fontbonne University Griffins in the First Round game, the champions of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) with a 20-7 mark.
The other First Round game played inside the MTI Center will feature Coe College from the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C). The 21-5 Kohawks received an at-large bid after coming up short in their conference tournament semifinals. Coe will square off with Wabash College, the champions of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC). The Little Giants enter the NCAA Tournament at 20-8.
Coe and Wabash will compete in the first game played on Friday beginning at 5:40 p.m. while Trine and Fontbonne will follow at 8:10 p.m. The two winners will meet on Saturday beginning at 8:10 p.m.
Tickets for the First and Second Round games played inside the MTI Center can be purchased at the door using cash or card. There will be no preseale tickets. Tickets to Friday's game will allow you to watch both the Coe and Wabash game as well as the Trine versus Fontbonne game. Tickets to Saturday's game will be sold seperately.
