ANGOLA - The Steuben County Council on Aging Board of Directors have announced the resignation of Executive Director Kris Treadwell. She has served as the Director for the past six years. Her departure became effective on Friday, March 15th when the board accepted her resignation. In a news release, the board said they appreciated her service and wished her well.
Former Executive Director Donna Holcomb will serve as Interim Director, which was put into motion on Monday (March 18th). Holcomb was the Director of the COA prior to the hiring of Treadwell. Holcomb left the position to focus on her responsibilities as a pastor.
Holcomb is presently the pastor at Helmer United Methodist Church. In a Facebook post on the church's Facebook page Holcomb assured church parishioners that she would remain their pastor saying the position with the COA will be to "fill the gap and help in searching/hiring for a new Executive Director". Holcomb went on to say "it has been humbling to be asked to help fill in this way".
The COA board said in their news release that Holcomb will serve while the board searches for a new Executive Director. Anyone who may be interested in the position can contact Holcomb at the COA or a board member.
