Driver Cited for After Vehicle Crash

A driver was cited for False and Fictitious registration and Driving While Suspended after a crash early Thursday morning on I-69. The accident happened just after 6:30 a.m. at the 337 mile marker.

The Dekalb County Sheriff's Department says that Lacrystele K. Brown, age 24 of Fort Wayne was parked on the southbound berm of Interstate I-69 using the phone. Investigative reports indicate that when Brown started to merge into the driving lane, when a vehicle driven by Kandi R. Goings, age 50 of Angola, was southbound in the right hand driving lane. Goings observed Brown pulling into the lane and swerved, but struck Brown's vehicle in the left side.

Neither driver was injured, but Brown complained of pain in the abdomen.

Authorities cited Brown for False and Fictitious registration and Driving While Suspended.

Assisting the DeKalb County Sheriff's Department at the the scene was the Dekalb EMS, Indiana State Police, and Waterloo Fire Department.
