(ANGOLA) – The Executive Director of the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation has received a special designation.
Isaac Lee has earned the national recognized designation of Certified Economic Developer from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), denoting a mastery of skills in economic development and a dedication to personal and professional growth. This milestone marks a significant achievement and underscores Lee’s commitment to excellence in the field of economic development.
Lee says this process has taken him years to achieve. He says it’s amazing to think that he started this journey in 2007 with the first class of his Basic Economic Development course in Ohio. Lee says he is humbled to the extent of the overall process as like many professional designations, this process is an in depth one.
Lee says he is grateful for the support from Steuben County EDC Board of Directors, his staff and his family for his pursuance for this credential.
The Certified Economic Developer designation is a prestigious acknowledgment of skilled and committed professionals in the field of economic development, establishing a benchmark of excellence within the industry. To attain this designation, candidates must successfully complete a rigorous and comprehensive examination, consisting of three parts and spanning two days.
Certified Economic Developers operate as highly skilled economic development professionals and collaborate with public officials, business leaders, and community members to establish astute leadership and serve as a driving force in the economic development landscape.
