GARRETT, IN - It’s officially “out with the old and in with the new”
for the Auburn-Garrett Drive in.
After 72 years in service the drive in suffered from storm damage last August on the structure that held their outdoor screen. Demolition began this week and the 60 foot structure came down to start the rebuilding process.
Several areas companies, including Lockwood Welding, Bill's Professional Towing and Repair, and JV Ley Construction were all part of taking down the gigantic screen on Thursday. The cinema structure is reportedly just 1 out 300 still in existence that is still being used.
