A Northwest Ohio man was killed Saturday morning when the tractor-trailer he drove crashed.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Kenneth F. Risner, age 50 of Bryan, was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee.

The crash was reported at about 10:55 AM on U.S. 24 just east of the Lucas-Henry county line.

Authorities say Risner’s rig went off the roadway’s right side, entered a ditch, and struck a sign.

The Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, Providence Township Fire and EMS, and Lucas County EMS assisted troopers at the crash scene.

The accident remains under routine investigation by the OSP.
