AUBURN, IN - The DeKalb Economic Development Commission voted against Tax Increment Financing (TIF money) earmarked for the development of the proposed Auburn Sports Park.

The group trying to transform the old Auburn Auction Park near County Road 11 and Interstate 69 had said this was a large piece of their capital stack to transform the area into a youth multi-sports facility.

Despite the vote, the developers insisted the project will move forward soon.

The Economic Development Commission Members said that financing documentation provided by Auburn Sports Group was not the proof of financing they needed to see.

Representatives with Customer Solutions for FCI Construction and developer with the sports park disagree.
