Albion Man Sentenced On Drug And Weapon Charge

FORT WAYNE – Sentence has been handed down to an Albion, Indiana man on a drug and weapons charge.

​Officials with the United States District Court in Fort Wayne say 29 year old Anthony Linn plead guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking case. Linn was sentenced to 12 years in a Federal prison, and then will be on 4 years of supervised release.

​On June 14, 2021, Linn was driving a vehicle with false license plates. Officers attempted to stop the automobile, and Linn drove away. While he was trying to get away Linn threw a gun and magazine from the vehicle.

​Linn was found a short time later in a parking lot, and threw out a plastic bag that had approximately 31 grams of meth.

​This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Fort Wayne Police Department Gang and Violent Crime Unit.
