STEUBEN COUNTY, IN - The Steuben County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public's help in finding the person who damaged multiple houses during a series of drive-by incidents.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to a home in the 1100 block of East COunty Road 300 North at around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning on a report of a house damaged by a projectile.

Reports initially indicated the objects came from a vehicle driving east on the road. A similar report came in from a home in the 2400 block of East County Road 100 North at around 3:30 a.m.

Investigators say the projectile came from a car going west on County Road 100 North.

At around 12:30 p.m. a third call came in for a home damaged by a projectile from a passing car in the 5300 block of East Metz Road.

At this time, the suspect vehicle can only be described as a vehicle with a loud exhaust. It does appear that all three incidents are related along with a fourth incident that’s being investigated by the Indiana State Police.

Evidence at this time does not indicates anyone was specifically being targeted.

Anyone with information that could possibly assist in the investigation is asked to contact the Steuben County Sheriff’s Detective Bureau at 260-668-1000 Extension 5000 or Steuben County Crime Stoppers at 260-668-STOP.
