After 37.5 years with the Angola Fire Department, Assistant Chief William “Bill” Harter has hung up his gear for the last time.

Bill held several ranks over the years as a volunteer firefighter and as a full-time firefighter. He was involved with many areas on the department from training officer, CPR & first aid instructor, and SCUBA diver just to name a few.

4 PM Friday marked Harter’s last day as a member of the City of Angola Fire Department.
