FORT WAYNE, IN — The Indiana Department of Transportation announced the beginning of a major project on the northwest side of Fort Wayne to improve traffic flow for drivers getting on and off of Interstate 69.

The interchange modification project is for the area of I-69 and Coldwater Road in Fort Wayne and will last for eight months.

INDOT says the purpose of the project is to address deteriorated pavement and bridge conditions, provide adequate vertical bridge clearance and accommodate Ludwig Road alignment modifications being done by the City of Fort Wayne.

Work will begin on Monday, March 14th.
