MSP investigating St. Joseph County hit-and-run injury crash

WHITE PIGEON, MI – Michigan State Police are investigating a hit and run crash in St. Joseph County.

Troopers say it happened on Lake Road in White Pigeon Township. Reports indicate a 40-year-old White Pigeon man was stopped on the shoulder making repairs underneath his truck. A dark colored two door passenger car was reportedly traveling east on Lake Road and struck the parked truck. This action caused injuries to the owner who was underneath the truck.

The driver of the passenger vehicle allegedly fled the scene south bound toward Indiana.

The injured driver was transported to Bronson Hospital by Air Care.

Troopers were assisted on scene by the Constantine Police Department, the White Pigeon Township Fire Department, Life Care EMS and Air Care.
