ANGOLA, IN - A long time city of Angola employee is leaving her post to take on a similar position in a nearby town.
Vivian Likes has announced that she is leaving her position as the City of Angola Director of Economic Development and Planning. She will be moving into the same position with the City of Butler.
Angola Mayor Richard Hickman said, “Vivian has done an outstanding job for the citizens in our community with her work in zoning, planning and economic development. She has been the lead on 4 new housing developments, Love’s Plaza, several expansions at Trine University, the beginning development of Innovation Park and many other projects in our city”. The Mayor added, “We are going to miss Vivian’s expertise and her great smile. But we wish her well in her new position”.
The replacement process is already in place and interviews have begun. City officials are hoping to be able to have an announcement in the near future on a replacement.
Vivian’s last day will be December 31st.
