51st Bronson Polish Festival Underway

BRONSON – The City of Bronson will be busy for the next few days as the 51st Polish Festival is back, after being canceled in 2020.

The celebration got underway Thursday night with the opening ceremonies at St. Mary's Church. Part of the ceremony was the naming of the 2021 Royal Court. Kevin Kolassa was named the Polish Festival King; Janet Sikorski the Polish Festival Queen; Seth Withington the Prince, Caitlyn Hagen the Princess, Heath Ratkowski the Jr. Prince and Monica Arver the Jr. Princess. The Royal Court will be featured in Saturday's Polish Festival Parade.

Activities start today with the Kiwanis pancake breakfast from 6 AM until 11 AM at the Bronson Fire Station. From 10 AM until 12 PM it will be Kids Day at Douglas Park with a bike raffle at noon. Authentic Polish food will be on sale starting at 11 AM at several business around the City.

From 5 PM until 10 PM there will be Bingo under the pavilion downtown. The first pitch of the men's softball tournament will be at 6 PM in Greenwald Park. There will be a chipped timed 5K race, 5K walk and kids fun run at 7:30 PM. The sky will light up with the fireworks show at dusk at Bronson High School. At 9:30 PM, there will be live music at Bronson Strike Zone.
