By: Mike Stiles - Wednesday, May 12, 2021

DEWITT – The Superintendent of a St. Joseph County school district is a candidate for the same position with another district.

Three Rivers Schools Superintendent Ron Moag is one of six candidates to be interviewed for the position of Superintendent for the DeWitt School District. Current DeWitt Superintendent Dr. John Deiter announced earlier this year that he would be retiring June 30 after ten years with the district. He will be the new Superintendent with the Northbrook, Illinois School District. Moag has been the Superintendent for Three Rivers Schools since 2018. DeWitt is working with the Michigan Association of School Boards to search for their next Superintendent.

According to the MASB and DeWitt Schools, Moag and two other candidates had their interviews yesterday. The other three candidates will have their interviews on Thursday, May 13. The finalists will have their second round interviews on May 19. A possible decision by the DeWitt Board of Education could come that same day.
