HOWARD TOWNSHIP – A North Dakota man was injured when his vehicle struck a tree in Southwest Michigan over the weekend.
The Cass County Sheriff's Department says 28 year old Tyler Kirkham was driving east on Huntley Road in Howard Township just after 12:30 AM Saturday when he went of the road, striking a sign and then a tree. He was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Kirkham was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, which is still under investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the incident.
