Sullivan Starts Campaign For Indiana SOS Office

INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana's new Secretary of State has started campaigning for the position in the upcoming 2022 election.

Republican Holli Sullivan announced on Monday that she will be seeking a full four year term in 2022. Sullivan was appointed to serve as Secretary Of State in March 2021 by Governor Eric Holcomb. She replaces Connie Lawson, who decided to retire.

Before being named Secretary of State, Sullivan was a State Representative for the 78th District from 2014 to 2021. That district is made up of Northern Evansville and Newburgh. Sullivan also serves as the State Republican Party's Vice Chair.

According to campaign finance records, there is another Republican candidate for Secretary of State. Diego Morales is also running for the party's nomination. He is a onetime aide to former Governor Mike Pence.
