Shelton Humbled By Nomination For County Middle District Commissioner Seat
Wednesday, June 3, 2020

In the race for the Steuben County Middle District Commissioner seat, a new face is set to occupy the role as County Councilman Ken Shelton was victorious on Tuesday night ending the run for incumbent James A. Crowl in the position.

Crowl was originally elected to the middle district position back in 2014, previously serving on the Steuben County Council.

While victorious in the primary, Shelton does not have an opponent from the Democrat side for the election this fall; however Shelton says they are prepared if an opponent shall surface.

Shelton also also stated how humbled he was about the citizens of Steuben County choosing him to take over the seat that Crowl has held for so long.

James Crowl will end his service officially on December 31st of this year.
